Prepare Your Car for Fall

Preparing your car for fall involves both cleaning and some auto maintenance to ensure it’s ready for cooler weather. Here are some tips to get your car ready:

Exterior Cleaning

  1. Wash and Seal: Start with a thorough wash to remove summer grime. With our MVP wash package we utilize Ceramic X3 to apply a hydrophobic seal to provide a longer lasting shine. Alternatively, our Elite wash package utilizes our Hot Lava Wax Protection, creating a barrier to protect your car’s paint.
  2. Clean Windows and Mirrors: Use our cleaning solution to make sure your windows and mirrors are clear. This helps with visibility as the days get shorter.
  3. Remove Debris: Clean out any leaves or twigs from around the windshield wipers and under the hood.

Interior Cleaning

  1. Vacuum Thoroughly: Vacuum seats, carpets, and floor mats. Pay special attention to crumbs and dirt that can accumulate.
  2. Clean Upholstery: Depending on the material, use a microfiber towel for cloth seats or our cleaning solution for leather seats. Be sure to ask about our car mat washing and vacuuming!
  3. Wipe Down Surfaces: Use our cleaning solution for your dashboard, steering wheel, and other high-touch surfaces to remove dust and dirt.

Auto Maintenance Outside of the Wash

  1. Check Fluids: Top off or replace fluids like windshield washer fluid, which is especially important in fall when rain can obscure visibility.
  2. Inspect Tires: Check tire pressure and tread. Consider switching to winter tires if you live in an area with harsh winters.
  3. Check Lights: Make sure all lights are working, including headlights, brake lights, and turn signals, as the days get shorter.
  4. Test Battery: Cold weather can affect battery performance, so have it tested to avoid potential issues.
  5. Replace Cabin Air Filter: A clean cabin air filter ensures that you get fresh air inside the car and can help reduce allergens.

Extra Tips

  1. Prepare for Emergencies: Keep an emergency kit in your car with essentials like a blanket, flashlight, and first aid supplies in case you face unexpected conditions.
  2. Organize Your Trunk: Remove any unnecessary items from the trunk and make sure you have emergency supplies like a spare tire, jack, and jumper cables.

Getting these tasks done now can help ensure that your car remains in good condition throughout the fall and into the winter.
